Hello,
As the subject implies, my IE6 on XP stopped keeping my visited
addresses in the address bar and login information to all sites right
after I close the browser.

I always have to re enter the addresses and the user/pass....

Maybe someone can advice?

Thanks a lot!

=Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced.

Click on General make sure the Days to keep the history is higher to say 30
or 60 days.
Then click on content Tab, click on Autocomplete Button and see these changes:
Use Autocomplete for :
[ ] Web Addresses
[ ] Forms
[ ] User names and passwords on forms.
[ ] Prompt me to save passwords.
click [OK] then click on Advanced tab scroll down under security and make
sure this check box is Unchecked and also this under Browser.
[&] Browser:
[ ] Use inline AutoComplete
[&] Secuirty:
[ ] Empty Temporary Internet files folder when browser is closed.

Click [OK] to close the IE properties and Reboot your Machine, does the IE
memory returned?.
HTH.
