Hello,
I have a micron Transport XKE laptop running windows me. I was trying to
upgrade ie 5.5 to 6.0. when i went to restart the computer i recieved the
message error loading explorer.exe you must reinstall windows.
I have the Windows me disk to reinstall. When I go to reinstall I get about
63% throught the installation and then i get an error message "SUWIN caused a
general protection fault in module verx.dll at 0002:24ae. It then causes me
to click cancel and then i have to try to reinstall me again...all to no
avail. i have only access to the dos commands. I can't even get windows to
breathe. i tried to back up to a earlier version of the sysreg but it
wouldnt back up to the earlier reg version. is there someway i can save the
system without having to reformat the entire c: drive? any help you can
provide would be greatly appreciated.
