Since upgrading to XP sp2 and IE6 sp2 I can no longer view .pdf files on the
internet. Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 305153 says - right click on
link to .pdf file and use "save target as" to save pdf file for later
viewing. Doesn't work since "save target as" is grayed-out inactive.
Anyone know where to go from here?

Save Target As and Print Target Commands Are Unavailable

For the original issue, open Registry Editor and export this key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/pdf

Post the contents here, along with the version of Adobe Reader you're using.

Sounds like the new (faulty) "security" feature.
In Windows Explorer choose Tools/Folder Options/Files Types. Locate the PDF
entry, and click Advanced. UNCHECK the Confirm open after download option.
Same for any other file types.

Spoorweg,

Please supply the "exact" weblink where you're facing this symptom, and the
registry key export when I stated in my previous post.

Post by Ramesh ref 176316 - disabling Content Advisor allows "save target
as"
to work. Tried unchecking "Confirm open after download" in My Computer
Tools/Folder Options/Files Types. IE6 still won't display the .pdf file.

FYI here is the url I'm trying

Thanks for the quick responses.
