IE6 with SP1 will not show pdf's. I cannot even rightclick
and "save target as" as suggested in article 305153,
because "save target as" is greyed out

Setup: IE 6.0.2800 with SP1, Adobe Reader 6.0.0 (the short
version for modem download)

Disabling "content adviser" now allows me to rightclick
and save the .pdf's. But in the process, .pdf is changed
to .edn.

I I edit it back to .pdf then Adobe will read it and my
testpieces show the correct and normal document.

My office IE6 works normal. What's happening here at home??

It seems that I got it right: at first I installed the
reader 6 before removing 5.1. after reading adobe's help
document 315029 about the activex plugin i installed the
reader once more, and although i can see no difference in
the contents of the activex folder, everything now seems
to work.
