Hello all,
This one has me stumped. before i go to far I am running
windows xp with ie6. I have compared my "advanced and
security setting" with another computer that has no
problems on this web site. they are identical.
The web site is http://151.204.174.24/home/homeA.html
What I am trying to do is take control of the demo camera.
now the picture loads up with no errors but when i click
the controls button the picture stays up but where the
controls should be on the left side I just get a small
white box with a red X in the middle.
When i click on the error it states:
problems with this web page might prevent it from being
displayed properly or functioning properly.
details:
line: 73
char: 2
error: object doesn't support this property or method
code: 0
URL: http://151.204.174.24/home/l2/controller.html
I have also taken all windows and ie6 updates. the same
as the other computer that has no problems? This is a new
computer that has never seen any other OS.
Steps taken thus far:
uninstalled ie6, reinstalled ie6.
ran sfc /scannow "all files intact".
played with all possible color and resolution settings.
hardware profile indicates no conflicts.
system free of all spyware and/or viruses.
actually enabled all security settings. (still have error)
updated all "objects" in view objects.
played with advanced features. enable disable script
debugging, use smoth scrolling.
read way more information than I am used to reading.
If you have any insight into this problem or have a fix
please may I ask that you take the time to post the fix
for me (and possibly others).
PS: I was at a seminar about the functions of this
camera. It is a web based camera with 100% remote control
over internet. The camera is located on the other side of
the St. Regis Hotel in New York. it has a 25X optical
zoom. If you play with it you can see what people are
having for dinner. You can also read a licence plate at
night from a block away.
Thank You in advance!!!
