IE6 acting odd - pop up window

S

Stephen

Hi

I'm using XP SP2 - IE6

For some reason I am unable to display in my browser
javascript enabled pages.

An example - on the UK's National Lottery I want to view their
'privacy policy' I left click - a blank window opens and immediately
disappears.

http://www.national-lottery.co.uk/player/p/home/home.do
javascript:popWindowPP('/player/p/about/aboutPrivacyContent.jsp', '500',
'688')

This problem happens on every site I visit.

I have turned off 'Pop Up Blocker' on Google.

I have tried to 'enable and disable' ie6 Pop Up Blocker on Internet
Options/Security.

I have scanned with Norton - and run WinDoctor.

I have run Lavasoft for adware.

Any ideas.

Many thanks - Stephen

Hi Ramesh

I have done as you suggested and the problem remains.

I have also checked that;

JScript.dll AND regsvr32 vbscript.dll

are registered - they are.

Any more thoughts?

Thanks - Stephen

Stephen,

Try disabling third-party browser extensions in IE Options, Advanced tab. This is to check whether a third-party addon is blocking the new window.
