IE6 & a specific URL & IE6 from AOL

I can't access a specific URL from IE6. It's a post by a
designer I work with, so I know the address is valid.
I've tried installing the IE6 service pack and patches.
Some will install, others give me error messages. My
version of IE6 is from AOL. Could this be the problem? I
know that reinstalling IE6 can be tricky. Should I try,
or is this some other problem?

Thanks.

You don't say where or how you're accessing the post, but
I just found I'm locked out of a mail box type situation
we have at work thru an FTP-type site because of one of
the security patches MS has nicely Downloaded to my comp.
The tech guy said he's had a ton of complaints, that
something in one of MS's patches has hosed our ability to
access certain sites, even use online shopping carts,
store passwords, all kinds of things. That might be it
for you? Also AOL sucks, and the browser isn't
really "the" MSIE, just a version of it. AOL's currently
hammering their system with security updates, too, and I
noticed a lot of stuff again not working. I'd suggest
downloading the mozilla browser at www.firefox.com. It
took me 20 seconds on DSL and it looks just like MSIE.
I'm using that to get to all the places I need for work
and using MS for everything else but I see that's getting
to be stupid with all the problems I'm having, the more
patches and fixes I'm getting weekly. Hope this helps!
