IE6.0 WinXP Pro Won't Display Homepage Logos!

I just don't get it: IE 6.0 on a brand new Dell-installed
XP Pro desktop won't display a logo on any homepage
(including microsoft.com!) that has the text "logo" in
the filename. ANy suggestions? Thx!
 
Real wild ass guess here...but in IE6 Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/ under
the Multimedia category, are "Show image download placeholders" and "Show
Pictures" options checked? If not, try some combination of enabling one or
both and see if that helps.
