I have Windows 2000 Professional and I downloaded and tried to install
Opera. The install failed so I used SystemSuite to remove Opera (I couldn't
do it using Add/Remove) and also removed all the registry references to
Opera. Now, when I open IE and try to go into my online banking, IE either
asks if I want to send in a report/close or IE just disapears. It seems to
work OK with other web sites, including another online banking site. I have
another computer with Win98 and the online banking site works just fine on
that computer.

Help!

why did the installation of opera fail? the best thing to do would be to
reinstall opera and get it to complete successfully, then uninstall opera
properly using add/remove programs.

I did that and no joy. However, uninstalling Sun Java did do the trick.

How about a repair of IE?
Also, there is an issue with SSL sites after installing MS04-011:
Run the following commands:
a. regsvr32 schannel.dll
b. regsvr32 rsabase.dll
c. regsvr32 rsaenh.dll
