IE won't open more than 1 window

When I open one browser window, it will appear as normal. Once a second or
third is opened, the original closes. It will also close the original window
if i right-click on a link and click on 'Open in new window' or if I open an
email attatchment (through a provider not in outlook, meaning my inbox view
will close). It has only started doing this a few days ago.

I believe one of the IE Options is "re-use current window". Tools/Internet
Options/Advanced. Could be.

Toggle it on and apply and then toggle it off and apply. Sometimes the UI
and the registry get out of sync.

Yes I did reboot. I loaded your program, Windows Defender and Malicious
Software Removal Tool. Both came back with results "no unwanted or harmful
software detected. Your computer is running normally". Any other ideas? Thanks

Thanks for that,

It came up that i had 107 spyware files.

I already had a anti-spyware program on my computer and nothing came up on
that.

Is there a way I can fix this?

Hi,

I also have Mozilla Firefox installed on my computer as a brower.

It doesn't have the same problem as IE7 as it will open more than 1 window.

Does this mean anything?

Thanks

I suspect if you run it again, you'll discover that ActiveScan may have
already deleted those files. Panda considers tracking cookies to be
spyware, so a lot of them may have been tracking cookies. Also, ActiveScan
should have given you a report on what it found.

There is also an option to try Panda for 30 days. This may solve your
immediate problem. You will need to download Antivirus 2007 from
www.pandasoftware.com/download.

Note - I have been using Panda Anti-Virus for over 6 years now and have only
had one -0- day virus slip by it. The next update of Panda caught it. I'm
not related to Panda other than as an extremely happy customer.

Reinstall windows and reformat? I can do it in about 2 hours...is this
really such a big issue for you? Plus you are really in the wrong
newsgroup...
