IE won't open maximized from desktop link

Opening Internet Explorer from the start menu makes it
maximized. But if I open a web site from a shortcut on
my desktop, or open IE from the desktop shortcut, it
won't open maximized ever.

Open a single IE window. Use the mouse to drag the edges of the window to
as close to maximized as possible. Then use the File, Close menu to close
the window. Your size setting will be retained.

Ok Right click the internet explorer icon on your desktop and select
properties from the menu. Now down in the run box, change it to maximized.
See how you go with that.
