IE won't open-causes error in USER.EXE

When I try to open IE the following error message appears:
Iexplore has casued an error in USER.EXE
Iexplore will now close.
If you continue to experience problems,
try restarting your computer.

I have already restarted the computer numerous times,
uninstalled IE and then reinstalled it. Does anyone know
how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Cause: Possible parasite, check it out.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit
is with this tool.

USER.EXE errors are virtually always related to video drivers.
Have you updated your drivers instead of just reloading? Also, reducing
hardware acceleration at control panel, display, settings, advanced,
performance may assist in stabilising your system.
