IE windows in background won't come to foreground

I'm not quite sure how to explain this, but I'm having a recurring problem
where when I have more than 1 IE browser window open, there will only be one
that I can actually bring up into 'active' mode. The others remain in the
background, and can only be called up by closing or reducing all windows of
all apps on the screen, and then activating the IE window that I want to view.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I am experiencing the same problem. I have noticed this over the last couple
of weeks. I have to minimize everything, then restore one of my IE windows
to be able to interact with it. If I close all open IE's, then reopen, seems
to work fine. I have not determined what action seems to cause this behavior
after restarting.

Have you installed any apps recently? The only thing I did was install
Google Desktop, but can't figure out how that would affect IE?

Yes, I have installed a number of apps - so not sure that I can trace it to a
particular one. I thought it might be an beta install of an application
developed at work - that's why I came to the general site to see if anyone
else was experiencing the problem.

I do have Goog desktop installed, but I've had that for months and I've just
noticed this IE behavior very recently.

Are you using any third party toolbars?
Try turning them off.

I had the same problem. Probably it started after installing Google
Desktop Beta. Today I installed GA version of Google Desktop and the
problem disappeared.
