IE window size

Is there any way to change Internet Explorers default
window size and placement.

IE is opening new windows that are tall and skinny and i
want to change it.

Thanks for any ideas.

Open one of these tall and skinny windows (make sure it's
the only one open).
Drag the window edges to the desired size (do not use the
maximize button).
Now close this window, this will save the settings.
