All of a sudden, I cannot start IE - from my desktop, start menu, etc. I have gone over to my desktop (where I am typing this) and downloaded the SP1 install from Microsoft and installed that and it still will not start up. There was heavy disk activity just before the problem first ocurred.

Any suggestions on how to get it re-installed?

What operating system are you using. If you are using Windows XP,

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
