IE will not open pages

Hi After some problem with windowsupdate (couldnt update)
i tried to update XP.
Sometimes during that operation someting went wrong.

I now have connection to internet (can play games on the
net) but no webbrowers will work.
msg: Page canot be displayed.
I have also tried to install another webbrowser, same
thing. msg:Connection was refused when attempting to
connect to .....

I dont want to foramt the whole disk

Hi Jan,
Sounds to me like a limited Issue if other apps work ok, the
browsers should use you Internet Properties in the control panel. Try
restoring defaults, then surfing.
