IE using 97% of my CPU memory once my computer becomes Idle

When my computer goes idle, IE opens up and starts running. I go to the task
manager and under the Processes tab, I see that IE is using around 97% of my
CPU memory. Is there some sort of file transfer, hacking, spyware, etc? I
have the Microsoft Firewall running as well as AOL's free spyware/antivirus
supposedly protecting my computer. Is there anything I have to worry about?
THANKS!!!
