IE Toolbar options

Under View, Toolbars, there are a standard set of IE
toolbars (Address, link, etc.). At time, vendors or
others seem to add toolbars to this list. In some cases,
the toolsbars can simply be turned off. If others,
there seems to be a persistence, even after
being "removed". When IE is restarted, the unwanted
toolbar comes right back.

What is the correct way to permanently remove these?

Thank you,

Go to start/run, and type Regedit.

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
Highlight 'Toolbar'

In the right pane you'll find a number of values (entries), one of which ought to be your ......
toolbar entry.

If it isn't mentioned by name, rightclick the first anonymous one, and choose 'rename'.

Let's say it's called
{2318C2B1-4965-11d4-9B18-009027A5CD4F}
Put a little minus (-) sign in front of it, so that it looks like this:
-{2318C2B1-4965-11d4-9B18-009027A5CD4F}

Start up IE: one toolbar will be missing.
If you've got the wrong one, remove the minus sign, and the toolbar will be back.

Eventually you'll find the one you want. If you're sure you've got the right one, feel free to
delete it.
