IE still not working!!!!!

HELP!!!!!

I am totally baffled now!
Downloaded Netscape (yuck) so I could at least get to Microsoft and see what
I can do.
I cannot find a solution!

Just to re-cap:
IE will not open/start... nothing.... it's as if the program is no longer
there... but it is! LOL
Even tried to install IE 6 off Microsoft site, but was told my version is
more advanced?
Probably because I have done the updates ... 'cept for the latest SP 2 which
a lot of people seem to be having problems with.
Even if I wanted to download SP2... I can't! Not without a working IE6!!!!

HELP!!!! I just want my IE to work again!

I looked into uninstalling IE but cannot understand all the blurb and it
sounded like uninstalling (even if I knew how) was not a good idea?

Can somebody give me some simple instructions on what to do? Please!

do a find for this text 114

you will see a link for enable reinstallation of IE click on that choose
save set the location as your desktop. go to the save file right click and
choose merge.

You can now reinstall internet explorer just don't forget to do the updates
that may be needed afterwards

I was going to send you a great big HUG, but sadly after doing everything
and waiting for IE to reinstall it still doesn't work!! boohoohoo ((((
I even ran a "repair" on it which now appears in the Add/remove section....
still no luck!
This is really frustrating me and costing me precious money as I have to pay
for local telephone (modem) calls in this country
I am going to try sending a help email on Microsoft's site.... but for now
it seems I am stuck with Netscape..... grgrgrgr....

But thanks for your effort anyway..... and you still get a hug
