IE slowdown

experiencing recent serious slowdowns in running IE. just
saw recent post on running cwsshredder & i know that cws
was on my computer. ran shredder and no luck so far. will
try other options on this spyware.

any other potential reasons for such massive slow down?

It could be for some other parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.
