IE shuts itself down

today My internet explorer started to shut itself down when I go to certain websites. my guess is those websites have some sort of pop ups which IE doesn't like. it's driving me nuts. but I can't figure out what I did to make it work this way. Can anyone help please?

Are you using any type of popup stopper?

If so the settings might be too agressive.

Also work with your internet option under tools, check
all of the zones to ensure those ar not set to high.

I'm not using any popup stopper. I also checked my settings, they are all normal.
what should I do now
