What's causing the following warning error message and how
can it be fixed?
"Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX
controls on this page. As a result the page may not
display correctly."
Appreciate a reply.

Hello
From IE go to Tools, Internet Options,Security, Select
Internet then hit Custom Level. In here look for "Run
ActiveX controls and plug-ins".
On my machine this is set to Enable.

thx

It can also occur if you have disabled Java in the security options dialog.
If you use View Source on the page which is causing the message
and can find the word applet in there (e.g.) that might confirm that idea.

Post a link if you need more help understanding the symptom.
