Sounds like you're on a workstation in a domain that has
a GPO setting for the home page of IE. IF this is the
case, your company's administrator is controlling where
the home page is set to and you will not be able to
change it.

this is my Home PC stand alone, using High Speed,so i don't
think that would be a factor, any other suggestions

I wouldn't rebuild your system, that's a bit of overkill...

Try checking the following registry keys for any unusual programs.

\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Winodows\CurrentVersion\Run

Also, check your processes (CRTL + ALT + DEL Then click Task List)

Check the process names here (http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist.htm)

Hope this helps!

Hi,
This hijack can be difficult to remove.
First run CWShredder http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html you
may be lucky enough to have the variety that's easy to remove. (Alternate
site for CWShredder http://www.aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip)

If that doesn't resolve the problem, work through these links:
