Lockups

I have Win Xp,and when I open up a browser I am able to brouse without a promblem,but when I close out the brouser it totally locks my taskbar,and then I bring up Task Manager and see that it is still running,then close it out from there and everything works fine,I have scanned for Virus and found none,I have Spybot installed and run that on a regular basis,I have done the update for IE and that did not solve the promblem,any ideas ??

To test with: First, disable the tool bands and Browser Helper Objects features:

1. Close all instances of Internet Explorer
2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click Internet Options.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Under Browsing, click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box.
6. Restart Internet Explorer.

WOW !!!! that seems to have solved the promblem...I have tested it a few times over the last few hours and it has worked fine....thank you SO MUCH !!!!....I will monitor it over the next few days and let you know how it goes......
