IE problem

I know that IE has a shortcut Key to add the http://www.
and the .com to a website name by hitting the Ctrl and
Enter key. It used to work but now it doesnt and just goes
to the MSN search page. I have tried everything I can
think of but can anyone tell me if there is a way to fix
this or reload it.
