IE Not Visible

I launch IE and all I see is the top bar. The background
of the browser is also the background of my desktop.
In have OS Win 2000 Pro. I just checked before the reboot
and I have all the updated code.
What's up? How to fix?

Is it possible that what you see is the smallest window possible, just the
blue bar with a title?

Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window last.

Of if you are in full screen mode, press F11 to return to normal mode.
