IE locksup when opening multiple windows

HI!

I am quite sick of this problem I´ve had for some time
now.
When browsing with Internet explorer everything is fine
and all - untill i open a new window, shift-click a link
or reightklick a link and select "Open in new Window"

Most of the time this works too, If i only do it once -
but if I open more than three windows IE locks up - as I
enter the taskmanager I see that "iexplorer.exe" is using
99 percent of the CPU power and I can do nothing at all
but to select "end process"

Anyone knows why this happens and what I can do to solve
the problem?
