IE locks for a minute when Bookmarking Sites

Condition worsens with multiple browsers open. I have a
fast computer, and this is a new problem.

Windows Update is current.

Any Suggestions?

How many do your have?
How are they saved, in one folder or distributed in many folders?

I "repaired" IE with add/delete programs, and that seems
to have helped...
