IE lies!!!!

Basically if I try to go to any major search engine ie
google lycos etc... It says that the site doesnt exist,
the message that says it doesnt exist is sent by CPanel.
Anyone know why this is happening?:S

discusses just one possibility.

Use Windows FIND tool to locate the file named HOSTS (no extension).
Rename it to HOSTS.BAK, and see if this helps.
