IE icon problems

Constantly recurring problem with IE icon (as well as start menu and
quikstart icon). When double click it, hour glass, then non hour glass, then
nothing...back to desktop. Can't seem to get it to boot. Sometimes PC
freezes over this. Other times IE boots no problem. Has anyone ever seen
this problem?

Hi,
This is usually caused by another program- often malware. Start with
BHODemon from http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm Your problem
may simply be a bad BHO.

Then download and run CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot.
