IE& History list shuts down IE.

I've just installed IE7 and all went well, or so I thought. Whenever I try to
access a web-site by pullin down the history list and clicking on one all I
get is: Internet Explorer has encountered a proble and has to close.
Sorry...........................
I've sent the error report to MS but I don't hold out much hope.
Have I done something wrong (daft).

Possiblity - toolbar or browser helper object
Slow Start Up / Crashes or Hangs / Starts then Vanishes / Websites blocks / Slow Page
Rendering / Error message about PSAPI.DLL
