Hello,
I have windows 2K professional with service pack installed. Whenever i

ERROR----The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( Microsoft
Internet Explorer ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have
the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display
messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of
the event: iexplore.exe, 6.0.2800.1106, rssreader.dll, 0.0.0.0,

The problem isn't in Internet Explorer, it's in whatever program installed
rssreader.dll on your system - I'd guess an RSS feed reader of some sort.
Uninstall that program.

Wish I could tell you, but you'd have to know what RSS reader you installed
in order to uninstall it. Now that you've deleted files (and fixed the
problem, kind of) you'll likely need to reinstall the program before it will
uninstall correctly.
