"IE Has Encountered a Problem"

I have Windows XP and IE 6.0. Lately I found that I
can't get to certain sites like ESPN or conduct any
search on Yahoo. I get the message IE has encountered a
problem and must shut down. I have reset the defaults
and I have reinstalled IE6.0 but to no avail. I can do
searches in google but not Yahoo. The yahoo home page
comes up fine but I can't search. I can't get to espn
from any place and certain other sites are reacting the
same way. Anyone have an idea what is causing this? i
ran a virus scan and no viruses were found. Help!!!!!!!!!

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
