IE hangs with QT7 movies

When I attempt to access a Quicktime 7 movie online, IE6 hangs up. I get a
"memory could not be 'read'" message. Other people are reporting similar.
Even on the apple site the QT demo movie crashes IE. On a site with QT7 and
QT6 movies, only the QT7 files causes the problem. It does not happen on a
mac nor on firefox. nor did it happen earlier on this PC (XP SP2) with NIS
and adaware current and frequently run. Anyone else seeing this? suggestions?

I appreciate your suggestions. Could I ask you to try to access this site:
www.programresourcesgroup.com/adhd and let me know if it works for you?
Those I have asked so far report that they get the page and QT movie attempts
to load, but then IE hangs--becomes totally unresponsive, does not really
crash. Then the MS crash analysis window opens with the option to send a bug
report, and then the IE message window opens with a message, I paraphrase,
The program has attempted to access memory xxxxxxx (it varies) and the memory
could not be "read." (their quotes). This is what friends see too whom I
have asked to duplicate this. I have tunneled into the MS kb on this message
and find only unhelpful programmer stuff I cannot understand, or superficial
stuff that is not relevant. I've also investigated the QT support KB, also
with no luck, including your links. As for uninstalling my QT, I would
except it is such a pain to reinitiate QT Pro; and my friends who get
identical responses do not have QT Pro so I consider that not diagnostic. I
suppose we could all have the same build, which is why I hope you will not
mind looking at the same site as a test. Or if you prefer, look at
www.apple.com/quicktime/player/win.html and click on Quicktime Demo on the
right side--sorry, can't get to the url on that without hanging. Maybe you
already did. I'm in the data-gathering stage here, to figure out if this is
really limited in scope or what. So I would be grateful to know if those
sites are bad for others, but other sites are ok. Thanks.

There is a new version of Quicktime for Windows which seems to be required to
read QT7 movies in IE. Uninstall the old player and download the version
currently available of the QT site. You'd think they would have made this
known...

The first URL you give comes back 404 not found. The second link to the QT
demo works fine here - the embedded QT video window for the demo is OK.

I take it your problem has been resolved with the latest version of QT? If
so, thanks for the feedback to the group.
