IE general prot. faults

IE is constantly shutting down due to an error and the
details say this "Explorer caused a general protection
fault in module USER.EXE." I have tried everything to
figure this out. If you have an answer, easy instructions
would be appreciated asI am not overly technical. I did
take one persons advice and download Spybot Search and
destroy and that did not resolve the problem. Thank you

in ie tools,options,advanced,uncheck'enable third party
browser extensions' ,apply. and see if solves problem. and
update spybot before using and use easy mode. also if the
windows explorer is crashing after the control panal ,it
may mean time to reformat and reinstall. as it is a bug
from ie patches over time that on some systems destabilizes
explorer. have you tried mozilla.org 'firefox' ?
