IE express service pack sp1

I am trying to upgrade a computer from IE5.5 to 6.0 but when I go to the
windows update page and try to download IE6 I get this message, "Error
creating process <ie6wzd /s:
"c:\wutemp\com_microsoft.ie6_sp1_w2komly_sept04_Refresh_5574\ie6setup.exe"
/b:c:\wutemp\com_microsoft.ie6_SP1_W2konly_Sept04_Refresh_5574\iebatch.txt
/R:N> Reason: The system cannot find the specified file. Does anyone know
what this means or better yet how do I repair it. Appreciate the help.

Hi Sam

What version of Windows do you have? I am sure others here will have other
information, but, you may need to update your Windows Installer.

Also, try downloading the install file from another site:
http://www.demon.net/downloads/ie6/

If you can, save the file to your HD drive and install from the HD, in Safe
Mode, so is nothing to interfere with the install

Also..try to uninstall the 5.5 first, if it will let you. You can do that
from the Add/Remove Programs in the control panel.
