I've been using IE Explorer for a long time now, but just last week it stopped working. When I try to open it, I get the error box saying : "Internet Explorer has encourntered an error and will need to close. We are sorry for any inconvience". I have the option to send the error report or not but no matter what I do the program won't start. I've scanned for viruses and spy/adware but I haven't come up with anything. What's more, I can't uninstall IE Exploerer- apparently because of the connection wizard? I've tried downloading the newest version of IE and installing over top of it but that's useless as well....The only thing fishy about my computer is that Window's Update has started popping up with advances everyday~ could this be connected? Can anyone offer and suggestions
Thanks in Advance

Rule out parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

and:

SpyBot-S&D

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
