IE Explorer 6.0 Error Reporting Problem

For some inexplicable reason, whenever I access IE via my
desktop shortcut, I immediately get the IE Error Message.
Whether I click the "send report now" or "don't send", it
simply reloads the error message. Rebooting doesn't help
either.

However, if I access IE through a link, e.g. in an e-mail,
it works flawlessly.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
