Very Unusual IE Explore Event - Expert Help Needed

....or so it seems to me. In the last two week IE 6.0 is crashing on a few
specific sites I used to use regularly (Weather related, either Weather.Com
or Yahoo.Weather and Chase.com.) I can still use IE flawlessly on all other
sites, and need not reboot after a crash occurs.

I can get to desired sites home page but upon first attempt at navigation
within the site I get "IE has encountered an error and must close."

I've cleared cookies and all temporary files; run AdAware (updated
regularly) as well as Symantec AntiVirus (every nite), and asked MS (via
automated system check) if I'm missing any updates for IE. Nothing has
worked.

Apart from reinstalling IE (and losing all my favorites), any other
suggestions?

Tried that; didn't get me there...but now I have latest updates to my Java
1.4.2. Any further suggestions would be appreciated

Hi Honestleed,

You really should click the details button the next time you get the
error message, and copy the message , paste in a post in this thread.
MVP's need to know the name of the file that's causing the problem.

That said, this was happening on my OS (Win98), some time ago. When
all else failed, I ran the Internet Explorer Repair Tool in Safe Mode.
That finally fixed it. Good luck with your problem.

locate either??? I'm going to Google Internet Explorer Repair Tool to see
what I can find,

any other suggestions are appreciated!
