Dear User Group,

I am running Win98 2nd Ed w IE 6.1 and find that when I
arrive at the Cartoon Network Home Page, IE gives the
following message:

"IEXPLORE caused a general protection fault
in module USER.EXE at 001c:000013b8.

This appears to happen only on the Cartoon Network Website
Home Page.

Any suggestions on what maybe causing the error??

Thanks in advance.......nexxgen

Cannot launch IE, however, I can launch Outlook Express, which leads me to
think that the problem is only with IE6.
Solved the problem. It was apparently caused by the free popup stopper
supplied by my ISP. Just deleted the popup stopper and everything is up and
running.

USER.EXE errors are virtually always related to video drivers.
Have you updated your drivers instead of just reloading? Also, reducing
hardware acceleration at control panel, display, settings, advanced,
performance may assist in stabilising your system
