IE error messages at bootup

At bootup I'm getting 2 error messages:

1) IEExplorer--Component MSINET.ocx or one of its
dependencies not correctly registered. A file missing
or invalid.

2) mmtask.exe Unable to Locate Component--This
application failed to start because MMVCP70.dll was not
found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

ie 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633IC came loaded on my
Dell. It worked fine from April thru July, but this
month it has progressively gotten to the point where it
doesn't respond; now as soon as my home page loads it
freezes.

I've also attempted to download ie updates from the
Microsoft Support site and I get a message, "IE 6.0
must be installed before installing update"

Obviously, IE 6.0 is installed.

I've checked for MSINET.ocx at
http://support.microsoft.com/servicedesks/fileversion/dll
info.asp and it was not listed.

I ran "RegSvr 32 msinet.ocx" in the Start/Run applet. It
isn't registered.

I've found several "spyware" files, deleted them, but the
problems continue.

I looked at everything at the
Troubleshooting station
(http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/),
and found nothing resembling the problem I'm having.

Any help would be appreciated!

Simon,
mmvcp70.dll = "MUSICMATCH_JUKEBOX_7_5"
Did you have MusicMatch installed at one time?
There may still be an entry in the Registry that is causing that error?

Registry Pruner - Clean up your Registry's SharedDLLs key. Orphaned entries
can cause install and uninstall programs to misbehave. [freeware]
