IE doesn't remember my Passport/Hotmail login

J

Jason Priesmeyer

For some time now Internet Explorer (6 SP1) has failed to remember my
Hotmail/Passport login information after closing any IE windows. I have to
continually login manually or use the MSN Messenger systray icon (Right
click - "My E-mail Inbox") to start IE 'logged-in'.

Choosing "Sign me in automatically" has no effect whatsoever.

The only add-in I use is the Google toolbar.

Does any one have any ideas of what might be causing this so I can finally
resolve this issue?

Thank you for your help.

Jason

Hi,

Try the following:

Open Internet Explorer.
Click on Tools, Internet Options.
Click on the Content tab.
Click on the Autocomplete Button.
Check the appropriate boxes you wish IE to remember.
Click on OK to exit AutoComplete settings.
Click on OK to exit Internet Options.

Regards,

Altrus
