IE doesn't reload cached images

I have this problem with IE. When I go to a site for the first time, it
downloads all of the gifs, and jpegs on the page, but when I come back to
the page, and this happens on every page I go to regardless of the site, the
browser spins and never reloads images that should be cached on my machine.

I have installed all of the updates and the machine is current as per
Microsoft.

Has this ever happened to anyone out there and what do I do to fix it?

I am having the same problem. It may be one of the
many 'updates' lately. This is a real problem with a
dialup!
