IE doesn't recognise the fact that I am online

I have an ADSL modem that connects to my ISP fine. However
I cannot get IE to see the fact that I am online. I get
loads of "The page you looking for cannot be found" etc.
And lots of "You are currently working offline" messages.
Anyone got any ideas???

Make sure that the Work offline isnt selected under File,
in IE. Thats the only thing that might be causing that.
