IE discontinued?

has anyone heard the rumor that microsoft is planning to
discontinue IE and support for it now that they've
crushed netscape?

i heard they will only be supporting the msn browser and
you will have to pay a monthly fee to use it if you're
not on msn. can anyone confirm or dis-confirm these
rumors?

i believe this is only in overseas and limited areas.
