I am running windows xp professional and my internet
explorer 6 crashes or (hangs). I just got this new
computer and I don't want to screw it up by downloading a
bunch of crap that I don't really need. I just want to
fix this so I am able to play with my new toy which has
been rendered practically useless since this problem
occured last week. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Please, somebody help me. I've sent microsoft tons of
reports but I wonder... does anyone really do anything
with them....?
Thanks,
Jordan

Jordan,
The first step to resolve your problem:
How to Disable Third-Party Tool Bands and Browser Helper Objects
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=298931

If this allows IE to start, see:
Dealing with Unwanted Malware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Don't forget to re-enable the BHO option (if used)
