IE corrupt?

I have a friend who has been having problems with IE since the weekend.

Secure https: sites will load, http sites will load from favourites, but all
others fail.

Have tried resetting all 'Internet Options' to defaults, also switched from
Windows built in Fire wall to Zone Alarm.

No joy.


Ideas anyone?

Hi,
If running Windows XP and IE6, these problems are possibly being caused by
the MS06-015 Update (Released April 11.) Usually (for example) www.yahoo.com
won't work but
http://www.yahoo.com will connect. Favorites work.

If you have HPs Share to Web software installed, download and run the VBS
file "HP's Share-to-Web software - Fix " at
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm Line 383.

If Share to Web is not installed, or that fix doesn't work, see
