IE constantly has script errors.

I just finished reformatting a friend's computer. I did all of the windows
updates and brought it back up to speed. For some reason the browser is
showing script errors on like half of all the pages I go to. It pops up the
window asking "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page". I have
the option "Notify me of every error" unchecked in the IE settings. It seems
like I'm missing support for the scripting because I've never noticed so many
errors before.

Hi, thanks for your response. I should have mentioned in my first post, those
two are checked too.

and Anti-spyware and all clean?.
What version of IE you got?

Unfortunately I had to give the computer back so I don't have any more
information on the error. It was internet explorer 7 and the computer had
Norton anti virus on it. The error was similar to what you posted, but
different errors each time such as "object not found" or other average
javascript errors.

You can post them this info and see if it will help, also if it didn't help
you need to get the exact error message and post back to the IE7 NewsGroup
there experts there will help you/them out with this, but try this:
Then Open a run command and type in these DLLs to re-register them:
regsvr32 SOFTPUB.DLL
regsvr32 Wintrust.dll
regsvr32 Mssip32.dll
regsvr32 Initpki.dll
regsvr32 Msjava.dll
regsvr32 Gpkcsp.dll
regsvr32 Sccbase.dll
regsvr32 Slbcsp.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
regsvr32 Cryptdlg.dll
regsvr32 Dssenh.dll
regsvr32 Rsaenh.dll
Note you can copy the above and paste in a Notepad and Save As on the
Desktop reg.bat file then you can open a run command and type in:
C:\reg.bat click [OK] and then Yes.

Reboot the machine and see if the issue resolved.

Cool, thanks for the tip. I'll try that next time I go over there and post
back the results. Hopefully it will work cause like I said, it's not just 1
error, depending on the page it can be any error thrown by a client side
script on the page. Thanks again.
