IE closes w\out warning

I am having a problem with my browser shutting down unexpectantly. It seems
to be a random thing and does it at no particular time and no matter what I
am doing. For example, when I click on a link, the new page starts to come
up but then IE shuts completely down. I have all IE updates and patches
installed, removed spyware, have no viruses. Tried system restore, did not
work. I did some research and found that it may be the video card driver or
hardware prob, so I updated to the latest drivers. But that did not help.

open to any suggestions

Both my father-in-law and I are having the same problem.
I think Microsoft has a big problem with IE 6 and XP. I
don't think it is a isolated incident either.

Ok I have found the problem. I reinstalled Java now and everything works
fine. I hope this helps others.
