IE cannot connect to anything

After running spybot, IE can no longer connects to any URL.
It simply times out. DNS fails. I went to Knowledgebase
and followed all instructions for installing, reinstalling.
Even completely reinstalled XP. NADA. Netscape works
fine, so it has nothing to do with my computer or ISP.
However, I need my IE for any number of things. What
should I do? This problem hasn't appeared anywhere that I
can find. Can't even sign up for a passport to email help.

Help! I have exactly the same thing and have re-installed
XP. IE will not work but Netscape is A OK.

Hi. Had same problem. Fixed by running winsockfix.exe
